Let the Capacity of tank be x
∴Sandeep filled 4x/7
& Ramakant filled x/4
Then Umesh used 3x/14
∴Equation becomes 4x/7+x/4-3x/14
x(4/7+1/4-3/14)
x(17/28)
Now x=560
∴560×17/28=340 litres
∴Required volume is 340 l

Answer:

The required capacity of the tank left is 340 liters.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sandeep filled water in 4/7 of an empty tank. After that ,Ramakant filled 1/4 part more of the same tank. Then Umesh used 3/14 part of the tank to water the garden. if the tank has h maximum capacity of 560 liters,

To find : How many liter of water will be left in the tank?

Solution :

Let the capacity of the tank be x.

Sandeep filled water in 4/7 of an empty tank i.e. \frac{4}{7}x

Ramakant filled 1/4 part more of the same tank i.e. \frac{1}{4}x

Umesh used 3/14 part of the tank to water the garden i.e. \frac{3}{14}x

The maximum capacity is 560.

i.e. x=560

According to question,

Water in the tank is

=\frac{4}{7}x+\frac{1}{4}x-\frac{3}{14}x

=\frac{32x+14x-12x}{14\times4}

=\frac{34x}{14\times4}

=\frac{17x}{28}

x=560

=\frac{17\times 560}{28}

=340

Therefore, The required capacity of the tank left is 340 liters.
