(a+b)(a-b) = a² - b²

We have rectangular piece of land measuring 107 × 103

by using identity
(105 + 2) (105 - 2) = 105² - 2²
                                 11025 - 4
                                  11021

so the area of land = 11021 m²

the amount he will have to pay = 11021 × 22
                                                       Rs. 242462

Length = 107 m
Breadth = 103 m

so,by using the (a+b)(a-b) = (a² - b²)
                          =(105+2)(105-2) = (105² - 2²)
                          = 11025 - 4
      so the area = 11021 m²
now,
per m² =Rs. 22
so for 11021 m² = 22 * 11021
                            = Rs. 242462
