Sangamayya Guha is located in the coastal northeastern district of Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh.  Srikakulam was previously known as Chicacole.

Sangamayya Konda or Sangamayya Guha has revealed evidence of prehistoric human activities during both the Stone and Iron Age.

Remnants of both Jainism as well as Buddhism were discovered near Sangamayya Konda. Archaeologists discovered near Amudalavalasa at Dannanapeta Jain rock beds.

The famous Buddist remnant site of Salihundam sits on the bank of River Vamsadhara which is just about 18 kilometers from Srikakulam town.
