Answer:

35,000

Step-by-step explanation:

cost of sangeeta's house = 4,30,000

amount spent by her on repairs and white wash = 20,000

sold price = 4,15,000

therefore total amount sangeeta spent = 4,30,000+20,000

                                                                 = 4,50,000

therefore the total loss of sangeeta = 4,50,000 - 4,15,000

                                                            = 35,000

therefore sangeeta's total loss = 35,000

Given:

Sangeeta bought a house for ₹4,30,000. She spent ₹20,000 on repairs and whitewashing and then sold it for ₹4,15,000.

To Find:

Find her gain or loss percent.

Solution:

Initially, she bought a house for ₹4,30,000. So,

                                               CP=430000

Now, she spent ₹20,000 on repairs and whitewashing, because it was her own expense it will be added to the initial Cost Price. Therefore,

                                          CP=430000+20000

                                               =450000

Now, she sold it for ₹4,15,000. Therefore,

                                                SP=415000

So,

                                       LOSS%={(CP-SP)/CP}*100

                                                    ={(450000-415000)/450000}*100

                                                    =(35000/450000)*100

                                                    =7.77%

Hence, the loss percent is 7.77%.
