- Total time taken ( t ) = 5 min = 300 sec
Converting to its standard form:
→ 1 min = 60sec
→ 5 min = ( 60 × 5 )sec
→ 5 min = 300 sec
- Side of the track = 150m
To calculate :
- Average speed ( v )
Calculation :
We know that,

s = total distance
t = total time
Let us calculate the total distance first:
◆ As it is a squared park, so total distance will be the perimeter of the square.
- Perimeter = 4 × side ,or
→ Total distance = 4 × side
→ Total distance = 4 × 150
→ Total distance = 600 m
Now,
- v = s/t
→ v = 600/300
→ v = 2m/s
Therefore, average speed of Sanjay is 2m/s.
