Sanjay is 1/2 as old as his brother now. In 6 more years he will be 3/5 as old as his brother then. what is the present and od the boys

Let brother age be x
Sanjay age = x/2

After 6 yrs Brother = x + 6
Sanjay = x/2 + 6
But given Sanjay would be 3/5(x+6)

$\frac{x}{2} + 6 = \frac{3}{5} (x + 6) \\ = \frac{x}{2} + 6 = \frac{3x}{5} + \frac{18}{5} \\ = > \frac{x}{2} - \frac{3x}{5} = \frac{18}{5} - 6 \\ = \frac{5x - 6x}{10} = \frac{18 - 30}{5} \\ = \frac{ - x}{10} = \frac{ - 12}{5}$
cancellation of minus with minus we have
$\frac{x}{10} = \frac{12}{5} \\ = > x = \frac{12}{5} \times 10 \\ x = 24$
Present age of Brother is x = 24
Sanjay present age = x/2
= 24/2
= 12


Sanjay = 12yrs
Brother = 24yrs
