Given cost price of scooter = Rs 9800
money spent on repairing = Rs 600
total spended money on scooter
= Rs 9800 + Rs 600 = Rs 10,400
since. , he sold it at a profit of 8 %
then, find the profit :
________________
profit = 8 % of 10400 = 8 × 10400 /100
profit = Rs 832
selling price of scooter
= Rs 10400 + Rs 832 = Rs 11232
therefore,
selling price of scooter = Rs 11232
the amount he gained= Rs 832
Answer : S.P = Rs 11232 , gain = Rs 832

Find the total cost:
Purchased price = Rs 9800
Repair cost = Rs 600
Total cost = 9800 + 600 = Rs 10,400
Find the gain:
Gain = 8% of Rs 10400
Gain = 0.08 x 10400 = Rs 832
Find the selling price:
Selling Price = Total cost + Gain
Selling Price = 10400 + 832 = Rs 11,232
Answer: Selling price is Rs 11,232 and the gain is Rs 832
