sanjiv has 60 in 10 rupee and 5 rupee coins. if the 10 rupee coins exceed the number of 5 rupee coins by three, how many coins of each does he have. ​

Answer:

Let the no. of 10 rupee coins be 'x'

and the no. of 5 rupee coins be 'y'

So,

10x+5y=60

And no. of 10 rupee coins are 3 more than no. of 2 rupee coins.

10(y+3)+5y=60

After solving,

y=2

so, x=5
