Answer:

Santa has ₹146 and Banta has ₹106

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Money with Santa be x

and Money with Banta be y

we know, x > y

now from the First Situation,

if Santa gave Banta ₹20 they would have the same amount.

it can be written as,

x-20 = y+20 -------- 1

also Second Situation,

if Banta gave Santa ₹22. Santa would have twice as much as Banta.

it can be written as,

x+22 = 2(y-22) --------- 2

now both the equation 1 and 2

x = y+20+20 (from 1)

x = y+40 ----------- 3

substituting the value of x from 3 in 2

x+22 = 2(y-22)

(y+40)+22 = 2y-44

y+62 = 2y-44

62+44 = 2y-y

106 = y

and Putting the value of y in 3

x = 106+40

x = 146

Therefore, Santa has ₹146 and Banta has ₹106.
