CP = 5863 + 137 = 6000

SP = 5700

Loss = CP - SP

= 6000 - 5700

=300

Loss % = Loss x 100/CP

= 300 x 100/6000

= 5% Answer

Hope it helps

Santosh brought projector of 5863                                               due to some defects he pay 137.                                                  we known;  loss equal to cp - sp                                                     first we add 5863 plus  137.        equal to 6000.                 loss equal to cp-sp ;  6000 - 5700 equal to 300                                                            loss% equal to loss/cp x 100                                                     loss% : 300/6000x100 : 5%.                                                   loss percent is 5%
