Santosh purchased some books of Financial Accounting on an average price of Rs. 380. Out of

which 100 books were purchased at Rs. 350 each and the remaining books were purchased for

Rs. 400 each. Calculate the total number of books purchased by Santosh.​

Its given that

(35,000 + 400X)/(X + 100) = 380

35,000 + 400X = 380(X + 100)

is 35,000 + 400X = 380X + 38000

400X - 380X = 38,000 - 35,000

20X = 3,000

Therefore X = 3,000/20 = 150 Books

Therefore total number of books = 100 + 150 = 250 Books
