Given :- Sanya purchased 2 bamboo tote bags and 3 show pieces for ₹ 5650 whereas Yamini purchased 3 bamboo tote bags and 2 show pieces for ₹7100.

To Find :- The cost of one tote bag and one show piece ?

Answer :-

Let us assume that, cost of one tote bag is Rs.x and cost of one show piece is y .

so,

→ 2x + 3y = 5650 ------- Eqn.(1)

→ 3x + 2y = 7100 ------- Eqn.(2)

multiply Eqn.(1) by 3 and Eqn.(2) by 2 and subtracting the result we get,

→ 3(2x + 3y) - 2(3x + 2y) = 3*5650 - 2*7100

→ 6x - 6x + 9y - 4y = 16950 - 14200

→ 5y = 2750

→ y = Rs.550

putting value of y in Eqn.(1)

→ 2x + 3*550 = 5650

→ 2x = 5650 - 1650

→ 2x = 4000

→ x = Rs.2000 .

therefore, The cost of one tote bag is Rs.2000 and one show piece is Rs.550 .
