Sanya spent 3/4 of the amount she had.
We can also say that 3 out of 4 quarters (of the total amount) were spent.
Thus the amount she has= 4-3=1 (out of 4 parts ie. 1/4 )
Now, this 1/4 is further subdivided into quarters, 2 given to two of Sanya’s friends
Respectively. And the remainder , ie. the amount left with her is ₹15.
Here, 2 out of the 4 subdivided quarters was given hence we have 2 quarters left,
Which is the amount left with Sanya.
Following this, the value of the 2
subdivided quarters = ₹15 (1st quarter+2nd quarter=₹15, ₹7.5 being the value of each subdivided quarter)
Hence, ₹15+₹15=₹30, the value of 1 quarter
And thus the value of 4 quarters=
₹30x4=₹120
