Q. SAPNA EARNS ₹18000 PER MONTH. SHE SPENDS 7/9 OF HER INCOME AND DEPOSITS THE REST IN THE BANK.

(a) HOW MUCH MONEY DID SHE DEPOSIT IN THE BANK EACH MONTH ?

Answer :

Total amount earns = ₹18,000

Amount she spends = ₹18,000×7/9
= ₹2,000×7
= ₹14,000

Amount deposited in the bank
= ₹(18,000 - 14,000)
= ₹4,000

(b) WHAT WILL BE HER ANNUAL SAVINGS ?

Answer :

Amount deposited in bank per month = ₹4,000

Her total savings in a year = ₹(4,000 × 12)
= ₹48,000
