  • NOTE BEFORE READING THE SOLUTIONS--THERE ARE 2 WAYS TO SOLVE THIS QUIESTION AND I HAVE SHOWN YOU BOTH THE WAYS. READ BOTH THE WAYS ND SOLVE THE QUESTION ON BASIS OF WHICH METHOD IS SIMPLER FOR YOU TO UNDERTSAND

1st Way

According to the question ↓

Sapna's weight on earth : Sapna's weight on moon = Monkey's weight on earth : Monkey's weight on moon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hence, =54:9=x:3.5

which also means↓

\frac{54}{9} =\frac{x}{3.5}

--------------------------

So,

x=64 X 3.5/9=21 kg

-------------------------------------------------

with this we can say that the weight of the monkey will be 21 kgs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd Way

----Sapna wieghs 54 kg on earth and 9 kg on moon. Which means that we will need to divide 54 by 9 to get. Hence, dividing 54 by 9 gives us the answer 6

----It states that the difference of weight between moon and earth is by 6 kg.

----So, to find the weight of the monkey, we will need to multiple 3.5X6 which will give us the answer of 21 kg.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you found these two ways to solve the question helpful.
