Sarah pours four ounces of coffee into an eight-ounce cup and four ounces of cream into a second cup of the same size. She then transfers half the coffee from the first cup to the second and, after stirring thoroughly, transfers half the liquid in the second cup back to the first. What fraction of the liquid in the first cup is now cream?

approximately 3/7.

There is 4 ounces of coffee in cup A. And four ounces of cream in cup B. When half of the coffee that is 2 ounces is put in 4 ounces of cream, it becomes 6 ounces of cream and coffee. And when half of that is 3 ounces of coffee and cream is put in the cup A. It becomes 7 ounces of coffee and cream. Sorry not 3/7 it's 2/5 approximately. not 7 because there was 2 ounces of coffee in cup A.
