India of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's Dream

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played a leading role during the Indian Independence Movement. He was the first Home Minister of Independent India and his rigid efforts towards consolidation of the country earned him the title ‘Iron Man of India’. His birthday, October 31, is celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Divas every year. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi has recently unveiled Statue of Unity to the Nation in the memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Patel Dreamed of integrating all princely states into India and played a very crucial role by successfully integrating around 562 princely states under the Indian Dominion. He was successful in integrating all of them barring Jammu and Kashmir, Junagarh and Hyderabad. The India that we see today is a result of the efforts put in by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a follower of the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and he fought for the peasants, the farmers and the downtrodden.

His main dream of India was a country that treated all its citizens equally.

He wanted an integrated India and did his best to get the reunite the princely states to make a single country.  

He was also in favour of private players in the industrial sector.
