2x^2-7x+3=0

Divide by 2

x^2-7x/2+3/2=0

x^2-7x/2=-3/2

Third term= {1/2× coefficient of x}^2

=(1/2×7/2)^2

=49/16

Adding T.t to both sides

x^2-7x/2+49/16=-3/2+49/16

=x^2-7x/2+49/16=-24+49/16

=(x+7/4)^2=25/16

Taking square roots

x+7/4=±5/4

Therefore,x=5/4-7/4

=-2/4

=-2

Or x=-5/4-7/4

=-12/4

=-3

x=-3 or x=-2
