Let the present age of Shristi be x years.

Given that,

Sargam is thrice as old as Shristi.

Therefore,

Present age of Sargam will be = 3x years

Again, it's given that

Six years ago Sargam's age was for times Shristi's age.

6 years ago,

Age of Sargam = 3x - 6

Age of Shristi = x - 6

According to the question :-

⟶ 3x - 6 = 4(x - 6)

⟶ 3x - 6 = 4x - 24

⟶ 24 - 6 = 4x - 3x

⟶ 18 = x

⟶ x = 18

Hence, the present age of Shristi is = 18 years

Present age of Sargam

= 3x

= 3 × 18

= 54 years
