Let the age of Srishti be x

Age of Sargam = 3x

Age of Srishti 6 years ago = x-6

Age of Sargam 6 years ago = 3x-6

According to question,

3x-6 = 4(x-6)

3x-6 = 4x-24

24-6 = 4x-3x

18 = x

x = 18

∴The present age of Srishti is 18 and that of Sargam is 18×3= 54

Age of Srisht 6 years ago= 18-6 = 12

Age of Sargam 6 years ago = 54-6 = 48

3x-6 = 4x-24

54-6= 72-24

48= 48
