sarika wants to cover the floor of room 4m wide and 6m long with square tiles if side of each tile is 0.5 m long then find the number of tiles requires to cover the floor of the room​

area of the floor = l×b

= 6m×4m

= 24m²

area of tile = S×S

= 0.5×0.5 = 0.25m²

number of tiles = area of floor÷ area of tiles

= 24÷0.25

= 96

therefore 96 tiles are required
