FIRST FIND OUT THE 15% OF ₹8.40

THE % IS = 15 × 8.4

100

₹1.26 IS THE 15% PERCENT OF ₹8.40.

NOW : ADD THE ₹1.26 WITH ₹8.40.

Solution :

Cost Price of 1 Dozen eggs = Rs 8.40 ( 1 Dozen = 12 units)

So, The Cost Price of 1 egg = Rs (8.40/12) = Rs 0.7

So, The Cost Price of 100 eggs = Rs (0.7 × 100) = Rs 70

Profit will be 15 %

S.P = C.P + Profit% of C.P

= 70 + 15% of 70

= 70 + 0.15 × 70

= 70 + 10.50

= 80.50

Selling price of 100 eggs makes a profit of 15% which is Rs.80.50.
