Let sarita's age be x and her cousin's age be y.
So,
x + 14 = y \: \: \: (i) \\ (x + 5) : ( y + 5) : : 2: 3 \\ (x + 5)3 = (y + 5)2 \\ = 3x + 15 = 2y + 10 \\ 3x - 2y + 5 = 0 \: \: \: \: (ii) \\ combining \: i \: and \: ii \\ we \: get \\ 3x -2 (x + 14) + 5 = 0 \\ x = 23 \\ putting \: x = 23 \: in \: \: \: i \\ we \: get \\ 23 + 14 = y \\ y = 37

Hey dude!!

Here's the correct answer

________________________

Suppose , the present age of her cousin is 'x'

Then , the present age of Sarita is ( x + 14 )

Now , after 5 year

The age of her cousin will be ( x + 5 )

And the age of Sarita will be ( x + 14 + 5 ) = ( x + 19 )

Now , as the question,

( x + 5 ) / ( x + 19 )= 2 / 3

or , 3x + 15 = 2x + 38

or , 3x - 2x = 38 - 15

or , x = 23

So , the present age of her cousin is 23

And , the present age of Sarita is ( 23 + 14 ) = 37

I know it helps you!! xD
