Solution :-

Given that,

→ Sarle bought cloth of = 3(5/8) m = (29/8) m

and,

→ Renu bought cloth of = 2(3/4) m = (11/4) m .

In order to make both denominator same of both fractions multiply and divide (11/4) by 2.

So, we can say that,

→ Sarle bought cloth of = 3(5/8) m = (29/8) m

and,

→ Renu bought cloth of = 2(3/4) m = (11/4) * (2/2) = (22/8) m .

Now, comparing both numerator ,

→ 29 > 22

Or,

(29/8) > (22/8) .

Therefore, we can conclude that, Sarla bought more cloth .

Now,

→ Sarla bought more cloth by = (29/8) - (22/8) = (29 - 22)/8 = (7/8) m (Ans.)

Hence, Sarla bought more cloth by (7/8) m.
