Heights are in the ratio of 6:18 or 1:3

Therefore area will be in the ratio of 1:9

Therefore, to paint a map of 18m high Satish will require 6*9 = 54 l

Answer:

Given,

paint needed to paint 6 m high map= 6 litres

To find : paint needed to paint a map of 28 m height = ?

Explanation:

6m = 6l

Ratio of height = 6:18 = 1:3

Ratio of their area = 1:9

so,

for 6m = 6× 1l = 6l

For 18m = 6 × 9= 54 litres of oil

54 litres of oil will be needed.
