The price of human greed is being paid by yet another animal species the Tiger. Today the Tiger population is getting depleted at an alarming rate. According to a recent survey, one tiger is being poached everyday. If the present state of affairs is allowed to continue, the next generation will not get to see the majestic animal even in the zoo.
Let us not forget that if we destroy nature, ultimately we will destroy ourselves.
Tiger, an apex predator is an indicator of our ecosystem's health. Saving tiger means we save the forest, since tiger cannot live in places where trees have vanished, and in turn secure food and water for all.
Tiger now are endangered species. Today there are about 5000-7,400 left in the world. Three types of Tiger - The Bali, Javan and Caspian Tigers have become extinct. The two reasons why Tigers are endangered are:Habitat loss & illegal killing.

Besides from being as the national animal of India, tigers are also known for their poaching worldwide. So now, I am going to talk about saving tigers.
Tigers are the sign of India's glorious and rich legacy and honor. Tigers stand above all with their disciplined and calculating appearance. Apart from looking powerful and undisputedly one of the most protected animals in India, these striped fellows are still being poached for their skin and other parts. I think that poaching of any animal is inhumane, and hunting of one's national animal is criminal and inhumane at the same time. It is a direct slap in mother nature's face for giving us different friends to love and live peacefully with.
I think that we should all stand against these selfish poachers who kill these innocent animals just for the sake of money. I would like to say- dirty money.
Let us all help and support all the organisations and initiatives to stop this practice. Always remember- United we stand, divided we fall.
