Given,

The ratio of red ball Savita has and  green balls Ajay has = 2:3

Savita gave 1/4th of her red balls to Ajay

Ajay gave 3 / 4th of his green balls to Savita

To Find,

The ratio of the number of red and green balls that Ajay has =?

Solution,

Let x be a number such that

The number of red balls Savita has  = 2x

The number of green balls Ajay has = 3x

Savita gave 1/4th of her red balls to Ajay

Savita gave = 1 / 4 of 2x red balls

Savita gave  = x/2 red balls to Ajat

Ajay does not have any red ball. So,

Total red balls Ajay has = x / 2

Ajay has 3x green balls

Ajay gave 3 / 4th of his green balls to Savita

Ajay gave = 3 / 4 of 3x green balls

Ajay gave = 9x / 4  green balls

Total green balls Ajay has now = 3x - 9x / 4

Total green balls Ajay has now = (12x - 9x) / 4

Total green balls Ajay has now = 3x / 4

The ratio of red and green balls Ajay has = x / 2 ÷ 3x / 4

The ratio of red and green balls Ajay has = (x * 4) / (2 * 3x)

The ratio of red and green balls Ajay has = 4 / 6

The ratio of red and green balls Ajay has = 2 / 3

Hence, the ratio of the number of red and green balls that Ajay has is 2:3.
