Some evidence for particles in matter :-

1. Dissolving a Solid in a Liquid.
2. Mixing of Two Gases.
3. Movement of Pollen Grains in Water.

Characteristics of particles of matter are :-

1. The particles of matter are very very small.
2. The particles of matter have space between them.
3. The particles of matter are constantly moving.
4. The particles of matter attract each other.

Classification of matter as solid , liquid and gas:

On the basis of physical states, all the matter can be classified into three groups: Solid ,Liquid and Gases .
