Meanwhile, its extreme eastern fringes experience a drier tropical wet and dry climate. Kerala receives an average annual rainfall of 3107 mm – some 7,030 crore m3 of water.

Andhra Pradesh :In summer, the temperature generally ranges between 20 °C and 40 °C. At certain places the temperature is as high as 45 degrees on a summer day. The summer is followed by the monsoon season, which starts during June and continues till September. This is the season for heavy tropical rains in Andhra Pradesh.

Rajasthan:The climate of Rajasthan keeps varying throughout the state. In the desert areas, it is usually hot and dry in summer and cold during the winters. Coming to the Aravali range, to the west, both rainfall and humidity are low. While to the east, weather can be characterized by high humidity and better rainfall.

Jammu and Kasmir:While Kashmir has a moderate climate, Ladakh is a cold desert with extreme temperatures and Jammu is a sub-tropical region with abundant sunshine and hot temperature. JAMMU is a sub-tropical region. The climate varies in different parts of the division. The southern plains experience a climate similar to Punjab.

West Bengal:Because of high altitude, the mountainous parts of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts experience a cool temperate kind of climate. The average temperature in summer is about 15 °C (59 °F), and winter temperature is about 2 °C (36 °F). Snowfall occurs in some part of this region.
