In 15th group elements valence shell have ns2 np3. np3 means it have stable half filled d-orbital. therefore it will not tend to lose electrons. hence lots of energy is required to lose electron from valence shell. hence more ion. enthalpy. whereas in case of 14th gp. it hv ns2 np2 ,it can easily lose. in 16th gp it have ns2 np4. here also it can easily remove 1 electron , but after that it also achieves np3 then leading to increase in ionization enthalpy.
