If you mean scattering of white light in prism then I will tell you about it.
As we know white light is a mixture of 7 colours( violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red). So, when a ray of light fall on prism, it get scattered into 7 colours. This is because all the 7 colours have different refractive indices.
More the refractive index more it will bend. Violet has the most refractive index so it bends more and after it indigo, blue, green, yellow and orange and then at last red has the least refractive index.
