Answer:no

Explanation:

Refraction occurs between two objects of different refractive index.

Refraction is scattering of light. But Scattering of light isn't refraction.

TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: The question is pretty irrelevant and be easily solved using logic.
TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: Scattering of light is when a ray of light hits an object or a surface and then change its course. Which is what happens in Refraction.
TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: But Scattering of light can also mean that the angle i=angle r which is not possible in Refraction
TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: Hence, Refraction is scattering of light. But Scattering of light isn't refraction.
TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: Give me a better explanation than this
TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: Rivanshi..
rivanshigujrati: what the hell have you written. This totally wrong
rivanshigujrati: this is the explanation of reflection neither of scattering nor of refraction.
rivanshigujrati: better you see my answer to this quetion. It would give you some knowledge about it.
rivanshigujrati: "TheGuyUwereWaitinFor" or what ever is your name....

No, scattering of white light is when a ray of light is separated into seven colours i.e. violet, indigo, blue green, yellow, orange and red (VIBGYOR) whereas refraction of light is when a ray of light gets bend due to change in medium(any object that falls in the path of light.)

TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: He said scattering of light. But Scattering of white light. Stick to the question plz
rivanshigujrati: I am giving the same answer but more specificly
TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: Scattering of light doesn't mean splitting up if light in a band of seven colours
TheGuyUwereWaitinFor: You are mistaking scattering of light with dispersion
