Scavenge are  carnivorous animals that feed on the dead and decomposing caucuses while  decomposes reduce dead decaying matter .Basically all  this animals are tertiary consumers and depend on  other organisms for food like the producers and consumers .They are very important in the ecological cycle since they reduce that which is unwanted and considered as waste .

Without them there would be congestion of such waste therefor rendering them very important all along the foo]d chain to ensure the completeness of the ecological cycle .
