Answer:

Explanation:

  • Nitrogen circulates between the environment and the cells in the nitrogen cycle.

  • Microbes change atmospheric Nitrogen Gas into oxygen compounds that can be absorbed by plants.

  • Other microbes are re-entering the atmosphere by converting nitrogen compounds into nitrogen gas.

In particular, the nitrogen cycle seems to have five steps:

  • Nitrogen-fixation (N2 to NH3/ NH4 + or NO3-)

  • Nitri-fication (NH3 to NO3-)

  • Assimilation (Integration of NH3 and NO3- in to the biological tissues)

  • Ammoni-fication (organic nitrogen chemicals to NH3)

  • Denitrification (NO3- to N2)

Therefore the Nitogen Cycle process can be explained as follows-

  • While nitrogen gas forms the majority of Earth's atmosphere, this nitrogen gas can not be used by plants to generate organic compounds for themselves and others.
  • The two nitrogen atoms of a nitrogen gas molecule are placed in a very strong, threefold relation together. For the nitrogen to be used, this bond must be broken.
  • Nitrogen gas needs to be changed into a nitrates shape, which plants may consume through their roots.
  • Nitrogen fixation is the method of converting nitrogen gas into nitrate. It is performed by bacteria that fix nitrogen. The bacteria, like peas, live in the soil and legume roots.
  • As plants and other animals die, the remnants of decomponents are broken down. A production takes the form of ammonium ions. They expel ammonia. This is what ammonification is called.
  • Nitrifying bacteria turn nitrites and nitrates into ammonium ions. Other plants use some of the nitrate.
  • Nitrification is also the method of transforming ammonium ions into nitrates.
  • Still other microbes, classified as denitrifying ones, transform some of them into nitrogen gas in soil, in a process known as denitrification. The cycle coincides with the fixation of oxygen.
  • Nitrogen gas returns to the atmosphere where the nitrogen cycle can be maintained by denitrification.
