School of a boy from his home is 1 kilometre to the east when he reaches back home he says that he had traveled two kilometres distance but his displacement is zero. justify your answer as zero.​

he covered one km from home to skol and then 1 km back to the home ....

THEREFORE total path length he covered ( distance ) = 1+1 = 2 km ....

and displacement is the shortest distance between initial and final positions....since initial and final positions coincided the displacement is 0
