Dichotomy means that two things are very different from each other. They are in contrast to each other. Science is totally based on facts and reality. It is based on rational way of thinking. It has to put forward exact facts. While Literature is creative and can be imaginary. It not necessarily have things which can be proved. It can be enjoyed in a light manner.

Dichotomy means that the 2 things are different from one another.

Science relies on evidence, experimental observations and logic.

Science contains theorems and axioms as well as postulates.

Although some scientific facts are based on hypothesis, science is rational.

On the other hand, literature shows vivid imagination of unreal things. It shows the depth of creativity.

Literature is the creation of mankind.

Science is what is reality.

It cannot be created.Man can only discover new things on science but cannot create science based on imagination.

Hope it helps.
