A comet in the sky is a portent. When agriculture was first discovered, men used to sacrifice a man and sprinkle his blood on the soil to increase the fertility in the soil. There are scores of such superstitious beliefs.
On the other hand, the modern has called the age of science. It has made our lives easy and comfortable. It is the root of our progress. Every day, we live in the age of science. The alarm clock makes a man to rise up early in the morning. The electric gas prepares his tea or breakfast. The cooker cooks his food. The radio brings him the news. The newspaper brings him the news what is going around the world day by day. He goes to office by bus,taxi or train. He talks over the phone. He sees the picture on the television. He goes to a doctor. He takes medicine to get cured. He takes pain-killer tablets to get rid of pain. Antibiotics fight against diseases.
