Science Boon or Bane
The advent of the twenty-first century saw remarkable advancement in science and technology. On the one hand, we take pride in the progress in the field of medicines which has resulted in better health and longevity of life. Communication technology has revolutionalized communication and shrunk the whole world into a global village. On the contrary, the other side of the coin presents a horrifying picture. The same technology is being used to provoke people to commit suicide.
Ours is the only species which is so evolved that we can control the other species on this planet and not only this planet, we are even trying to reach to the other planets. There are experiments and research going in all the fields which can lead to a better quality of life and widening of our horizons. But, at the same time, there are destructive forces which use science to develop destructive weapons which can bring disaster and doom in the world.
So, it won't be wrong to say that it depends on us whether we make science boon or bane, depending on its use. It's like a knife if it is in the hand of a surgeon, it can be life-saving, and the same knife can be used to kill someone. It all depends on the choice one makes.
