Thermoplastics:

difference is that thermoplastics can be remelted back into a liquid, whereas thermoset plastics always remain in a permanent solid state. Think of thermoplastics as butter – butter can be melted and cooled multiple times to form various shapes.

thermosetting plastic:

cross-linked polymers, which become soft only on first heating with pressure and get hard permanently on cooling due to chemical changes by condensation and polymerization, and becomes unaffected by the heat or solvents.....

Answer:

a)Thermoplastis-

  1. These plastics become soft on heating and harden when cooled.
  2. These are also called thermoplasts, and can be remoulded into various shapes again and again on heating.
  3. The polymer chains are linked linearly. They mainly lie side by side and are not strongly linked to one another. This makes them soft and stretchable.
  4. Some examples of thermoplasts are polythene and PVC.

b)Thermosetting plastcs-

  1. These plastics cannot be softened on heating.
  2. These are also called thermosets, and cannot be remoulded again on heating.
  3. The polymer chains are cross-linked. They have very strong bonds between the chains. This makes it almost impossible for the chains to slide past each other. These plastics are hard and brittle.
  4. Some examples of thermosets are Bakelite and melamine.

hope it helps mark as brainliest and thank it also
