answer : the poles are located at the ends of the magnets. All magnets have two poles the north and south poles . Opposite poles attract ( south and north  , north and south) and same poles repel ( north and north ,south and south ) . There are many kinds of magnets for example ; bar magnets ,ring magnets and horseshoe magnet etc.
