There are a lot of new ideas for interstellar travel. One of them is using the of anti-particle booster. Basically this booster contains a lot of particles and anti-particles. When you merge these two together, it creates such a powerful energy blast that it outranks all the nuclear weapons of the world.
Advantages: We know the science behind this and hence will take less time to make it a real life thing. In other words, we will take less time to perfect this idea.
