Griffin was an intelligent scientist who had accomplished a lot in the field of science, but science being its master took him on the wrong way and made him do all the things which he should not have done and were unproductive. Although, if he had managed to make science its slave then he could do things with the chemical that he made according to his will and could have done something productive and helpful in the development of his country.
