Science is a threat to humanity. It can be explained with the help of example of Griffin in Invisible man. He was a scientist who had gained ability to be invisible.

However, instead of using this power for the betterment of mankind, he started using it to harass them and fulfil his desires.

He robbed his father and didn’t care for his death. He lost all morality, became over ambitious to achieve excellence in science. He lost the most important value, humanity.

Science can have it's both pros and cons depending up on the ways it is applied.

People tend to use science for their own advantage, forgetting about the effects it possibly can have on others.

This negative externality of science makes people scared of inventions and progress at times.
