tame a magnet and a iron piece .now move the iron piece on the magnet from North to South Pole .for 30-40times.then take a iron and see that it iron piece is attracting your other iron piece or not .if not repeat it again

Method 1: Suspend a soft iron using thread in North-South direction and gently hammer it in one side;

Method 2: Rub a soft iron with a bar magnet in same direction;

Method 3: Keep the iron near bar magnet for sometime.
