The following are the reasons in support of the given statement:

1. In order to plant trees of one type all the other types of trees were cut down; which affected the natural forest diversity.

2. This system of scientific forestry promoted to grow the trees that were meant for commercial uses (provided timber). Thus it snatched out the needs and occupation of forest dwellers.

3. It badly affected the ecological balance as the forests with multi-species were converted into plantations.
