Scientific term for Organisms:
The scientific term for the special feature that animals use to save themselves from extremes of heat or cold is called adaptation. By adapting themselves in extremes of climatic conditions, these animals survive even in Sahara desert or Antarctica.
Animals living in cold have thick layer of subcutaneous fat, thick fur, very narrow and thick veins, and food storing ability. Whereas that living in cold have wide and thin veins, water storing capability etc. These features lead them to survive in extremes.
