Scientists discovered mineral containing aluminium. They found that the amount of aluminium was too less to be extracted. Do you think the mineral can be considered as an ore. Give reasons.

Bauxite is the mineral in which alumina and then aluminium is extracted.

no,it cant be considered as an ore because an ore is a a naturally occurring solid material from which a metal or valuable mineral can be extracted profitably.Here, aluminium is not abundent in the mineral .Also due to the low alluminium content,it will be difficult for the scientists to get it extracted.A good ore of alluminium is Bauxite.
