I think that scientist have actually find this return of fish in this desert because sometimes before the Atlantic ocean of the Mediterranean sea or from that the red Ocean the water could have been over there in an that's why the water was easily available by the people and the crops are cultivated but now as the water is not available near the cross know the fish is much cultivated in the Sahara desert .

that's why I think it's because of the unavailability of water and extreme temperatures that have made the fish in order to die .
