By pursuing a Master's degree you can get a job in pharmaceutical companies, food and dairy industries as a quality control employer, medical coder and the status increases with experience. Usually the payments are higher in pharma companies starting from 25–30k. Salary of a Quality control manager reaches upto 30–45 lakhs per annum.

You can work as a college temporary teacher, researcher and as a lab assistant after your MSc program. ( starting from 15–20k ). The place can be occupied as permanent by clearing NET exam ( 40k after permanent ). After qualifying CSIR NET exam when you get enrolled in any CSIR institute for ph.D you get a fellowship of 25k per month.

You have many more opportunities if you do specialization in a particular subject such as medical microbiology, clinical microbiology, immunology and geomicrobiology.
