Explanation:

Actions Speak Louder Than Words by Jammie Press is an enjoyable story for me. I personally likes this kind of genre, tragedy. The narrator explains the incident very details, it is using third-person omniscient or all knowing narrator. As a reader, I could feel the situations and what is the characters going through clearly. The writing style is simple yet understandable, so I don't have to take so many times reading and thinking what is all about. The writing style succeeded giving an illustration of what happened in the story, so readers could imagine what is the characters going through along the story.

The story begins with a dialogue of a female caught by a school-shooter in the library, we can refers to this phrase "Inside the library looks like a tornado just hit" and a female voice "I don't want to die..." the shooter kills her. We can refers to the narrator point of view, that a guy shoot some students and teachers in a school. No one knows why he did that. A student named Aaron trapped under a desk when he's hiding. Aaron scared that this might be his last chance to live, I could feel it because he faces a random guy with drops of bloods in his face. Kevin, a guy who faces Aaron carries a gun. This threatening moment made Aaron to stay calm and followed Kevin's flow.

Aaron speechless and don't know what to response, he just looking at Kevin's hand until he said "Its my Dads. He always tried to hide it in places that he thought I didn't know about." In this statement, his father wont let Kevin knows about the gun, its for Kevin's goodness. We know that parents should be a good role-model for his children, so does his father. Before passed away, his father was the only person who cared for Kevin. "Aaron carries on the flow of conversation." it is Aaron strategy to avoid Kevin to shoot him, he made some distraction to made Kevin forget to kill him and Aaron tried to made Kevin relax. by hearing and responding to his story.

In mid-length of the story, the main character state that he was a victim of his mother violance. Kevin is a teenager that tries to find out who he is, he needs support and attention from his parents and school environment. He feel depressed with the school system that play the students all around, means teachers only wants students to master all subject. In this kind of situation, he had lower grades, had no friends to support him, family either, it made the biggest reason why Kevin did such unexpected things. Now a days, many school system really pressing students for over-study hard and give them tons of homework. Teenagers are very susceptible to depression, the more they are under pressure the more they got depressed. We need to more understand that someone who under pressure needs support and attention, even advice.

At the end of the story, I felt bad for the main character. His anger has becoming bigger and bigger. He can not hold on any longer because he kills some people and no one really cared for him. He definitely did not want any of this to happen, as he said "actions.. speak.. louder.. than.. words" based on this phrase, no matter how hard Kevin to tell everyone about his problem, they never cared or listen to him. He needs some supports and attentions.
